Scope: Designed and built processing automation with 157 motors and controls
For the engineers at our sister company, ICAD Automation this was a tough one. The client in Firebaugh, California processes thousands of pounds worth of onions every day. To do so effectively required 157 different motor controls running an Allen-Bradley system which operated with a FactoryTalk View-HMI and PLCs running programs for product information such as diameter & moisture content requirements. Our electrical work included powering up large belts for drying the onions to maintain quality in the production process. Our team configured the IntelliCENTER software which featured motor controls and advanced monitoring capability that provides visualized information. This is another great example of a design and build project which allowed us to partner with the facility and mechanical contractor to ensure that the control scheme was properly designed and implemented.
